Early Childhood Training And Resource Centre (ECTARC)

ECTARC is a community owned, not for profit registered training organisation that specialises in early childhood training and professional development. ECTARC offers nationally recognised and VETAB accredited distance study programs, professional development workshops and inservices, funded training courses, a specialised early childhood library and much more.

ECTARC is managed by Illawarra Area Child Care (IACC) and was established with the support of the Australian National Training Authority (ANTA) to provide:
- accredited vocational training for those wishing to achieve qualifications
- quality upskilling/in-service workshops for those working in or with an interest in the early childhood/community services field
- dynamic, pro-active and responsive leadership in early childhood/community service training and research.

ECTARC also offers a range of qualifications and vocational training programs.

Illawarra Area Child Care

llawarra Area Child Care is a community owned, not for profit organisation that provides centre management and early childhood training services. IACC is committed to providing high quality, affordable early childhood services and training programs for children, families, staff and the community.

IACC manages seven high quality accredited Long Day Care services and three high quality Occasional Care services, catering for children aged 0 – 6 years. The long day care services operate 51 weeks per year. Occasional care services operate 48 weeks per year. IACC also manages the Early Childhood Training and Resource Centre (ECTARC). ECTARC provides a range of accredited early childhood training programs and a resource/lending library that you are welcome to become a member of and use to assist with your child’s education.
